Our goal is to make sure every child is born healthy, grows up in a safe and caring home, is ready for school, and can grow into a healthy, successful adult.
About the Program
Three Rivers Healthy Families (TRHF), part of Healthy Families America, has been helping children and families in the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck since 1999. TRHF works with many community partners, including:

- Civic Groups
- Faith Communities

- Health Care Providers
- Libraries
- Mental Health Advocates
- Parents
- Part C Services
- Schools
- Social Services
Services
TRHF has been very successful at improving the lives of young children who are at high risk for abuse and neglect. Our home visiting program helps families cope with the challenges of having a new baby.
Our services are based on what each family needs and their strengths. We provide:
- Activities that help parents bond with their child and support healthy development
- Case management for children from birth to six years old who are at high risk
- In-home mentoring to help parents build problem-solving skills
- Information and referrals to community resources
