Want to become a Peer Recovery Specialist ? This is the first step ... 72 Hour Peer Recovery Specialist Training . This is a 10 week course done on Fridays for 10 weeks . The class starts on September 18th . Registration opens on August 1st . On class days there will be 3 breaks and 1 hour for lunch lunch is not provided . 1 hour of homework after each class . Limited to 24 students Must identify as a person with mental health or substance use disorder or Lived experience with challenges in Recovery

Free 72 Hour Peer Recovery Specialist Training --Trainers: Elizabeth Sluder & Rebecca Graser 

--All Interested applicants Must apply for class on the Virginia peer portal at https://www.vaprs.org/  

The registration for the class will be opened August 1st 2026. Keep checking the portal to see if registration opens under the Trainers names . 

Deadline to register is September 11th 2026
